Momentum dance company is well known throughout the Miami dance community for its key role in keeping culture alive in our city.
With 30 year of performing, Momentum is one of the oldest and most established dance companies in the South Eastern U.S. Delma Iles (founder and artistic director of Momentum) offered a free performance at the Colony Theather in Miami Beach on April 7th to celebrate the company’s legacy.
The performance aligned with the 2012 Miami Dance Festival, which has been in operation since 2002. This photograph was captured of Katie Sopocci-Drake (choreographer/dancer) prior to the free performance.
As photographs are generally prohibited during performances, it was a great opportunity to be the photographer on hand.
